Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to any information you share with MountRise.
The short version
MountRise is an informational website. We don't run user accounts, we don't sell anything, and we don't build advertising profiles. The only personal details we ever see are the ones you choose to send us, for example through the contact form or by email.
Information you may share
If you contact us, you might provide your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use these solely to read your enquiry and reply to it. We don't need any of it to keep the guides available for you to read.
How we use it
- To understand your question and respond to it.
- To keep a record of correspondence where that helps us follow up.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't pass it to third parties for marketing.
Analytics and cookies
This site aims to stay simple. If we ever use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are helpful, that information is aggregated and not used to identify you personally. Your browser lets you control or clear cookies at any time through its settings.
Data retention
We keep enquiry emails only as long as they're useful for answering you and any sensible follow-up, after which they can be deleted. You're welcome to ask us to remove your correspondence.
Your choices
You can email us to ask what correspondence we hold from you, or to request that we delete it. Because we collect so little, these requests are usually straightforward to honour.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will be reflected here rather than sent to you directly.
